Purchase: I bought this saddle with treasure trove of extras for $385 and $35 S&H on ebay. I have never bought a saddle off ebay before and was quite nervous but it all went really smooth.
Likes: I love the thic heavy leather and the fact its oily to begin with so did not have to oil or or nothing, and its a very good looking saddle and surprisingly has been more noticed by my friends than some of my other more expensive saddles. Its really a neat saddle that my wife has recently taken a fancy too, so we plan on ordering another one if I can find it. Its got really wide straps, around 3" and had to find a rear girth as it did not come with one, other than that its really a very well built saddle and per the seller was originally designed to hunt big game (not sure where?). It has a leather harness that goes over the tree which is what i really got attracted to as it gives me extra peace of mind. I would definitely recommend this saddle to anyone, starter or pro.
Dislikes: Not much I did not like, I guess the matching reins that came with it were a bit over oiled and would have preffered a couple of extra dee rings in the back for my bags.
Quality: Excellent construction, very clean lines and stitching was almost flawless. The fittings were solid brass and sellers website shows a car tire sitting on the saddle, so thats pretty impressive.
Summary: I would definitely recommend this saddle to anyone looking for a in-expensive alternative to the usual circle Y's. It's been with me for over 7 months and it is ageing really well, the leather has got a little cresed from wear, but it looks very nice even after over a 100 rides maybe.
