Purchase: I bought these boots for my daughter when she started showing. I didn't want to pay too much for tall boots as her feet were still growing. I paid about $250 at Greenhawk.
Likes: These boots were immediately comfortable even before they were broken in and look very sharp in the show ring. They come in a wide range of sizes and the sizing seems accurate.
Dislikes: They are not terribly snug fitting around the ankle which may not give a nice sleek profile that some riders are looking for. But I think that is to be expected for boots in this price range. They are a thicker full-grain leather, not soft calf-skin, but, again, to be expected for the price.
Quality: They are extremely durable. My daughter has been wearing them for over a year now both for showing and schooling. We are not particularly meticulous and they often sit for a week with caked on mud yet the leather, the soles, and the zippers have all withstood the abuses of an 11 year old who rides about 4 times per week.
Summary: My daughter finds these boots so comfortable and easy to put on that she refuses to go back to paddock boots and half chaps even for schooling. We will be purchasing another pair when she outgrows these ones.
