Purchase: Covered Wagon Saddlery in Oaxford, MI. I paid $989.99 plus tax.
Likes: The part of the saddle covered my leather is nice and grippy. It fit my hard to fir T-bred who needs a wide tree.
Dislikes: It's part synthetic. The flaps over the stirrup leathers and the small flap over the stirrup bars as well as the underside of the saddle is some kind of plastic. The stores and web sites do not tell you that. Dover Saddlery does describe it as "leather-covered" which I had never heard of. so it will never break in. I am very unhappy with this. I could have gotten another real leather saddle for the same price, like a Dover Circuit.
Quality: It looks well made, except for the plastic, but the tree only has a ten-year guaranty.
Summary: If I had realized this saddle was not all leather I never would have purchased it. It was a mistake. I should have researched it better. But I oiled it and could not take it back. At least it fits my horse.
