Purchase: I bought this saddle pad from SmartPak on sale. I think it was around $10. I ordered it immediately because I know how high quality Kensington products are. Plus, you can never have too many cute pads!
Likes: I absolutely love everything about this pad. I bought the white one with the SmartPink plaid border. I was riding a mare at the time, so the pink showed off her feminine side. It fit her and my A/P saddle (size 17.5) perfectly, with room to spare for a bigger size saddle, but it would work just as great for a smaller sized saddle. Very universal and could work with most sized horses. It is VERY high quality. The padding is thick and the stitching was very even and tight. It wicked sweat away from the horse, and she was far more dry than she usually was with a plain cotton pad. It wicked so well that the pad was usually very damp when I untacked her (we were riding hard, training for an event, with a hot and humid GA summer). After about a month of regular riding, it was obviously covered in black horse hair, dirt, sweat, and dusty from arena dust and from sitting around in the barn, and even mud splattered from schooling water complexes on cross country (we were not the most graceful pair...). I let another boarder borrow it once, and she stuck it on her horse then walked away... It slid off, and the horse apparently thought it would be fun to step on... and stand on... and stomp into manure and mud... Lovely. I was so worried the mud and sweat stains wouldn't come out, and my favorite pad was ruined, but I stuck it in the washing machine and it came out looking brand new! I was extremely impressed! I would definitely buy more of these pads, and I highly recommend them!
Dislikes: There is nothing I don't like. It's still my favorite pad, even a year later. If you knew me, you would know how addicted I am to buying cute pads for my horse. It's definitely the highest quality pad I have, plus it's cute! :)
Quality: VERY high quality. Thick, good stitching, wicking powers, and washes well. It has held up perfectly after a year of constant use, and still looks brand new, even after all of the abuse it has had.
Summary: Best pad I have ever bought, hands down. High quality, cool for the horse, cute for the people... What's not to love? :)
