Purchase: I bought it at Tractor Supply Co. for about $100. I don't remember the exact cost.
Likes: I love this tack trunk! I think it was meant to be sold as a tool box to keep in the back of a pick-up truck, but it was exactly what I was looking for in a tack trunk, so I bought it. I did not want to spend $500 on a "real" tack trunk, so I bought this one instead. I have been very impressed with it! It is big enough to store my grooming box, a package of polo wraps, and container full of splint boots and bell boots, another container full of miscellaneous things, my huge collection of bits, a bunch of halters, leads, bridles, breastplates, stirrups, and other strapgoods, two helmets, and a bunch of saddle pads. I have much more room to spare still. It is very durable and much more lightweight than the traditional wood tack trunks. It is also made of plastic, so therefore it can be hosed and scrubbed out, unlike the wood trunks. Very easy to clean. It can be locked by the hinges with a padlock to keep your things safe.
Dislikes: There isn't anything I don't like about this trunk, except that I wish it had wheels, but that is not a necessity as the trunk is meant to stay in one spot.
Quality: High quality, thick plastic. It is strong enough to be sat on by a few people with no problem. It looks like it will hold up very well, as all the hinges on it are very strong and secure.
Summary: Highly recommended, great quality, big enough to fit all the stuff that I want it to hold, and that is saying a lot because I am pretty addicted to buying things for the horses! :)
