Purchase: I purchased this mask online from Jeffers Equine three years ago. My horse loves it, I love it and I'll never buy another type of fly mask again.
Likes: Prior to this I had always used the Cashel with the long nose and covered ears. It was fine but when my mare rubbed her head the eye would poke in and rub her eye until I noticed it and could fix it. I'm at work all day, so not an ideal situation. Yes, the Bug Eye pokes in but my mare always has at least one inch clearance between the pushed in part and her eye and lashes. I love it!
Dislikes: Not a darned thing I dislike about this mask except maybe how goofy my mare looks wearing this thing. I call her the Terminator when she has it on.
Quality: My mare is out on 7 acres with trees, brush, long grass, everything. After three years I've noticed one tiny break in the webbing but the mask is still structurally strong. One of the bug eyes developed a seam that would pleat or fold in so I put the mask face down into a bucket of hot water, with a baseball in the eye socket. This reshaped it perfectly and my mare is once again happily wearing the mask.
Summary: In my opinion, this is the best fly mask I've ever purchased and if this one ever wears out I will buy another one with no hesitation.
