Purchase: I paid $179.95 at our local GreenHawk.
I already had an older version of the bridle that I was extremely happy with. But I needed a few replacement parts in order to continue showing in it, but the new edition was on sale so I bought it instead.
Likes: I love the colour and the quality of the leather, it is easy to break in and easy to care for. It looks great with my Collegiate saddle as well.
The reins do come very stiff and they take a little while to loosen up, but once they do they are soft as butter. Anyone who borrows my reins or rides my mare always asks me where They can buy a set.
Dislikes: It would be nice if the crownpiece was not quite so wide, I have a crystal browband (also Mondega) that was a gift I had to have adjusted so it would fit the new bridle.
Quality: Excellent, except that the keepers on the nose band have a tendency to come loose, I have found mine are not the only ones it has happened to.
Summary: The Mondega padded raised bridle is my favourite bridle by far, I have found none I love as much. Even my Vesspucci is second to my Mondega.
