Purchase: I purchased the saddle from the small tack shop that the barn that I take lessons at for $235.00 which included leathers. I bought the saddle because the old all purpose saddle I owned was falling apart to the point that all the stiching was coming on done and no one around where I lived repaired saddles.
Likes: The seat is comfortable for me and the stirrup safety bars did their job in a few falls that had happened to me!
Dislikes: It doesn't sit on a horse really well. The flaps that lay against the horse are VERY thin and have indentation marks from the girth buckles.
Quality: Poor construction. I've had the saddle for almost a year and have ridden in it once or twice a week and have had to make a stitch repair to the stirrup leather keepers, leather is ok quality but not very duriable.
Summary: I will never by a Silver Fox saddle again! However it would be a good saddle for a begining rider! I'm intermediate!
