Purchase: I bought this saddle online from Carousel Tack for $699
Likes: It is durable and well balanced. It has a nice deep secure seat and is perfect for equitation and hacking.
Dislikes: The leather is very stiff and required quite a lot of conditioning to break in, and the seat is not very comfortable.
Quality: The saddle is well balanced and well put together. I would not say the leather is the best quality as it is very stiff and dry and takes lots of conditioning to keep it supple. The panels are foam flocked and gusseted which I find wonderful for my flat - backed mare, as the panels are very straight from front to back. The tree runs true to size however it will somewhat 'stretch', so beware that if you use it on a variety of horses and put it on a wider horse then try to use it on a narrower horse it may not fit the narrower horse anymore.
Summary: This is a great saddle for schooling, hacking, equitation and low hunters. It is a true all purpose saddle. It's not the best for jumping as the seat is too deep and would be hard to get out of over bigger jumps but for low stuff it's adequate.
