Purchase: I saw the site on line. I also researched the reviews on this site. I paid $600 which covered the initial shipping to me.
Likes: It was overall pleasant to look at. The craftsmanship looked good. The seat was very comfortable for me. Customer service was excellent.
Dislikes: I think the better American leathers are nicer than the leather used on this saddle. I did not like the foam padding on the underside of the saddle, though it was covered by wool felt. It did not fit my horse even though I had sent in tracings and pictures. The tree was made for him, but he was unhappy in the saddle and he let me know immediately.
Quality: Well made. The tree was too narrow in the gullet for my gelding even though the bar angle was wide. The tree also seemed like the bars themselves were not very wide reducing the weight bearing area. I like American leather better.
Summary: This was a moderately priced custom saddle. It was also a moderate quality saddle. Ive seen much better for lots more $$$ and worse for less $$$. The refund policy was good and I received all but the shipping $$ back. It cost me $66 to try the saddle. I did not keep it very long as it was obvious immediately that the fit was not going to work for us. I must say, though, that I have a VERY HARD TO FIT gelding.
