Purchase: I bought these from a barefoot trimmer and Renegade representative. They cost about $160 for the pair.
Likes: Easy to adjust and put on. I like that the heel captivator is a separate piece which moves independently and so doesn't rub. I've completed 50 mile endurance rides in these without a single problem.
Dislikes: The cable system can be tricky to replace if you happen to break one.
Quality: All Renegades are made in the USA with American materials and labor. Excellent quality. I keep track of mileage and mine last typically about 500 miles in the rocky deserts of Arizona.
Summary: I've tried many hoof boots and these are by far the best in terms of quality, construction, ease and function. They come in a variety of colors, if you're into that sort of thing. Super fast shipping too! Great support from the company and they are American made!
