Purchase: I got this horse toy from a friend who didn't need it and gave it to me. My sister's horse named Ben had recently tore a ligament and was on stall rest, so he needed something to do in the stall. Since she gave it to me, I didn't pay anything for it, but it is currently priced at thirty four dollars and ninety five cents on Smartpak Saddlery.
Likes: I loved the results of putting this Likit in Ben's stall. He is a wiggly horse in the stall, but it still kept him busy. Ben is very playful, so the toy part of the item worked out wonderfully. He absolutely loved the peppermint flavor of all of the Likit brand flavors, and was extremely successful through stall rest.
Dislikes: Although Ben and many other horses at the barn loved these enjoyable products, they did seem to run out quickly. Since Ben was frequently playing with and licking his toy, the first refill ran out within a week! it seems a little pricey for the amount included since each refill is almost six dollars including shipping.
Quality: This toy was OK set up for my horse's situation. Ben enjoyed the ball and played with it often, and it still works great! Ben loved the peppermint taste of the Likits, But we have found other items that he likes just as much with better value.
Summary: Although this product worked extremely well for stall rest, we like some other products that have been a lot more successful. He loves and still uses the ball, but we have found different flavor and salt blocks that are better for our lifestyle.
