Purchase: I purchased this saddle on ebay from the JC Martin Saddles aka bull_rider99. I a paid $585.00 total. My intention for the saddle was to be used as a work and ranch roping saddle.
Likes: The roughout leather portion of the saddle is of acceptable quality. The latigo strap and off-billet are stout. The set of saddle strings are of nice length and leather. The saddle is eye pleasing. The price at $585.00 is in the top range compared to the craftsmanship of the saddle.
Dislikes: The overall fit and finish of this saddle is low end quality. The tooled leather is finished in an orange dye that clogs the pores of the leather keeps it from absorbing oil. The rawhide cover on the swells probably more plastic than true rawhide, the stirrups are plastic and at this point, I'm uncertain if the tree will hold it's shape.
