Purchase: About a year ago, I concluded it was high time I treated myself to some new stirrup leathers, as I'd been using my old ones for over 20 years! I saw the HDR pre-stretched leathers in a Chick's Saddlery catalog and purchased them from Chick's warehouse store for $39.95.

Likes: They LOOK very nice; the leather and buckles are decent quality. I also like the "oakbark" color.

Dislikes: The oakbark color isn't stained into the leather; it's painted onto the surface. The SMOOTH surface -- the one that lays against the saddle flaps. I found, therefore, that my pretty new leathers were scratching my saddle no matter how much I tried to soften and condition them.

Quality: They are definitely well-made, and will last a long time. Unfortunately, the oakbark color also is very durable.

Summary: I was disappointed, and ended up giving them away. I can't recommend them.
