Purchase: I paid $20 for this blanket from Horseloverz.com in late 2009. I bought it for my 16hh Appendix mare to use as a stable blanket and to layer underneath waterproof turnouts when it got very cold.
Likes: The color. That is literally the only thing I liked about it. Very pretty raspberry with baby pink trim.
Dislikes: Everything else. It was poorly constructed, fit poorly, rubbed, etc. It fit just fine around the neck when I first got it (my mare was VERY narrow as she was young, but had a deep barrel, thin neck, and big shoulders), but it stretched out so much around the neck after using it for LESS THAN TWO MONTHS that it gave her a serious pressure sore on her withers and I had to throw it away. I contacted Horseloverz, thinking that it was defective, and they gave me a refund, but since my McAlister turnout stretched out around the neck, too, I'm thinking that McAlister is just an awful brand. It also doesn't breathe very well.
Quality: Very poor. Stretched out, didn't fit.
Summary: DO NOT BUY. Terrible blanket. Stick with Schneider's.
