Purchase: I bought this blanket from the Big Dee sale flier that landed in my mailbox. My mare's old stable blanket had given up the ghost after ten years so was in the market to replace it. I paid $49.95 plus shipping and handling.
Likes: I like the sturdy denier, the fact that it has shoulder gussets and a tail flap. There are features found in much more expensive blankets, such as reinforced surcingles, fleece at the withers and elastic detachable leg straps.
The fit is quite nice and it is very warm while being lightweight. It comes in interesting colors; I got the purple plaid which is beautiful.
Dislikes: So far, nothing. It seems to be a high quality blanket.
Quality: It is made of a quality 1200 denier polypropylene which should hold up just fine for stable use. The stitching is tight and reinforced at all points of strain such as at the surcingles, shoulder gussets, etc. It fits my mare nicely and doesn't rub.
Summary: A fantastic buy for a stable blanket - seems just as nice as some of the blankets costing twice as much or more.
