Purchase: Looking for a comfortable, inexpensive saddle to fit my gaited horse. $250 from Usedsaddles.com
Likes: Wow. What is NOT to like here? The saddle is very comfortable with a narrower twist for ladies bodies. The fender position may not be liked by some folks as it does put your legs in the "dressage" position more so than the usual western "chair position". I like the position, as your shoulders are in alignment with your heels, placing you very centered. My horse never broke his fox-trot and had even sweat marks on his back. No pressure points whatsoever. I used a Skito pad with this saddle but even a thinner saddle pad would be fine. Comfy for me, but more importantly,, comfy for my Missouri Fox Trotter. I did not even have to girth tightly and the saddle stayed put while mounting. Fabtron, another fabulous saddle perfect for women and very lightweight. Handsome looking saddle, 100% better quality than the Abetta's, which I have used before.
Dislikes: I didn't like the stirrups, but then I use the Easy Care stirrups so once I switched those out there was nothing I didn't like about the saddle.
Quality: Excellent quality, excellent construction. Well built, easy maintenance. I'm very happy with it.
Summary: I love this saddle. I normally ride in a Wintec Austrlian Saddle, but it was not agreeing with my Foxtrotter's withers. He moves extremely well in the Fabtron. I got very lucky getting it for the price I paid, it looked as if it had only a couple of rides in it and the fenders looked brand new. Not even a scratch on it anywhere. I'm more than positive the only reason this person was selling it is because of the "dressage position" it puts your legs in. Which is the correct, centered position, which I like.
