Purchase: I bought the IMUS used at a local tack store. I was fortunate to get one used at a great price.
Likes: I had been using a dressage saddle to ride my Standardbred, and it fit him well, but wow did he gait like a pro after putting the IMUS on him. I realize that just putting a saddle on a horse is not going to magically make them gait, but it can certainly improve it. He was able to do the running walk today and maintain the gait (yes standardbreds can do that, they are awesome)even around the corners.
Now as for me, it is very comfy. It puts you close to the horse like a dressage saddle, but with the deep western seat you feel very secure. The surgical squishy stuff in the seat of the saddle is amazing. I think the world should be covered in this stuff, I think everyone would be much happier. LOL
Dislikes: The only thing about this saddle is the girthing system. Its not that I don't like it, I just haven't mastered it yet.
Quality: The leather is very nice and the padding is not only for the rider but the horse under the bars. You don't find these on the secondary market often because no one sells them. If you have a gaited horse, this is the saddle for trail riding.
