Purchase: I paid full price for this custom made saddle from Trumbull Mountain Tack (Great place!!)After rave reviews on other sites I test rode this saddle.It was like I was riding a totally different and better horse. We're now riding cross country & riding threw combinations with confidence.I had this custom made as the price & time frame for deli vary was the same for a stock saddle.
Likes: I have the vintage leather in havanna on the flaps & calf skin on seat & knee rolls. On the test ride saddle the color was real dark almost black. The new saddle the havanna is a lovely rich brown with just a little difference in shade on the types of leather. The the grain on the leather makes it nice and grippy. The adjustable calf blocks are great. Wool flocked so it's adjustable. Every one who's ridden in this saddle loves it.
Dislikes: The price. I sold 2 nearly new western saddles and my old Studden VSD to purchase this 1 saddle.
Quality: Extremely well made. I expect this saddle to last for many many years.
Summary: Well worth the investment. It's great owning only 1 saddle that really fits both myself & my horse. I love this saddle. It makes riding a joy.
