Purchase: I bought this saddle about 7 years ago from a tack store in Phoenix, AZ. I paid about 350.00.
Likes: This saddle is a combination of leather and cordura fabric. My ex husband was a saddle maker so I have very good education on what a good saddle is supposed to look and feel like.I never thought I would get one of these saddles, but tried out one belonging to a friend. It is light but sits "down" on a horse and has a good feel to it. I put it on Morgans, Arabs, and Quarter horses. Never had any horse get a gall or sore spot.
Dislikes: The only thing I didn't like was the plastic stirrups. I like a heavier stirrup so it was an easy fix to change them out.
Quality: I have ridden in endurance rides, had it drug under a horse and gotten soaking wet in rain and rivers. There is not a worn or broken part on this saddle. Easy to adjust the stirrups for other riders. I have used Abetta and other brands for a riding school and none has held up like this saddle. Buckles & straps are of good quality and I have never replaced any thing on it. Even had a horse rake their teeth across the leather front swells and was able to use saddle cleaner to smooth it out.
Summary: Excellent quality, fit and rider comfort. Best of the synthetic type saddles and better than most cheap made all leather saddles. I recommend to folks looking for an inexpensive trail/pleasure saddle, low maintenance with a good fit for man and beast.
