Purchase: I needed a new saddle for my young TB. I knew he would be changing shape because of his age so I didn't want to invest in a very expensive saddle in case I had to purchase another in a year or 2. I bought this saddle from Brubachers Harness in Ontario. I paid 1200.00.
Likes: The first thing I loved about this saddle was the quality and feel of the leather and how well it was made. My horse is a typical TB with the high withers and at the time I purchased the saddle he didn't have much topline. The saddle fits like it was made for him. I also love it and feel extremely balanced in it for jumping and flat work. I have put my dressage saddle aside and I ride in this all the time. I am schooling my horse at 3'3" and I it puts me in a great position over the jumps.
Dislikes: I purchased the saddle about 6 months ago and rode in it almost daily through the summer and so far their is nothing that I don't like about it with the exception of the color. I actually like the color of it but it is a little difficult to find matching tack but I think it may darken over time. I think they call it chestnut. The other thing is somewhat minor but one of the billet straps is slightly shorter but I use elastic ends on the girth so no biggy.
Quality: The first thing I loved about this saddle is the quality and feel of the leather. It is a relatively inexpensive saddle but very well made for the price.
Summary: I am pleasantly surprised with this saddle and I hope it fits my horse for a long time because I probably won't trade up. I love it.
