Likes: The workmanship is top notch. The leather and tooling are gorgeous. What I love about this saddle is that for what I would have paid for an off the shelf Tucker I got a custom made Dixieland. I did the form fits so I was sure to get the right tree and my saddle fitter says it is one of the best fitting saddles he has ever seen.
We ride for 6+ hours over rough terrain and my tough to fit pony is as comfortable and feisty at the end as he is in the beginning.
I got mine with the duracore seat and wide comfortable stirrups so I'm just as comfortable as my pony on long rides :)
Dislikes: It's a bit heavy. I see now they offer lighter versions, but the weight is because it is a well made saddle and not junk.
It's been a bit hard for me to adjust to the rigging style. I can see how it holds my saddle more securely and comfortably on my horse, but compared to english billets it takes a lot longer to rig up.
Quality: This saddle is extremely well made. The tooling is obviously hand stamped and not machine stamped. Cynthia was extremely helpful when I was custom configuring my order so I ordered what was right for me. They even custom cut my saddle flaps shorter then normal so it would fit me better.
Summary: All I can say is my pony and I love this saddle. I've put over a year of hard riding on this saddle and it is still in great shape other than a few scuffs from going through some heavy scrub. The seat is comfortable and secure. I can't believe I got such an amazing custom saddle for the same price I was planning on spending on an off the shelf model.
