Purchase: I purchased this saddle as part of a set on e-bay for $100. I bought it because I figured that regardless of quality $100 was too good an opportunity on a saddle to pass up!
Likes: The color was nice.
Dislikes: Everything else.
Quality: The tree was in tact, but not really symmetrical or particularly horse shaped. The pommel was high but came too far forward for a horse with any kind of wither. The gullet was narrow, but the saddle's curvature gave it quite a broad contour. I have no idea what size of horse this thing would fit. The whole saddle looked ... skewed. Kind of like it had warped, but it was brand new.
The flaps were apparently made of leather, but they had the consistency of a cereal box, and they looked unfinished.
The stitching was sloppy, the adhesives used were applied sloppily and the whole thing looked rather like it had been put together by someone who had never seen a horse.
Summary: I was told by two instructors that the saddle was unsafe to use on any horse and advised to either return it, or turn it into an arts and crafts project.
