Likes: These are great chaps! I bought the black pair to match my Dublin venturer boots. They are the most comfortable half chaps I've ever worn. They're lightweight, so they're not overbearing during the summer, and they don't bleed onto my breeches if I or the horse sweats. They're very stretchy and not at all confining, so I can feel the horse easily under my leg.
Dislikes: They're not dressy and would not qualify as a show or clinic half chap, but they're also much more comfortable than many of those. They run a little larger than the size chart estimates. However, a little extra room allows me to slip them on over jeans as well as breeches.
Quality: So far, the quality appears to be outstanding. After coating them with muck, I toss them in the wash, hang them up to dry, and they look virtually new. I also love the fact that I don't need to wipe/polish/condition them as I would leather half chaps.
Summary: These are my favorite half chaps because of their comfort and easy care. If I want something a little dressier, I use a pair of Dansko leather schooling chaps (also comfortable, but not as easy to care for).
