Purchase: After getting tired of having wet frozen feet in the winter,I bought these boots from the Dover catalog. They were on sale for about $59.
Likes: These boots are completely waterproof and the lining keeps my feet toasty warm. I've worn them in torrential downpours, deep mud, and snow and they haven never leaked.
They are also designed for riding so I don't have to switch footwear from barnwork to riding.
They are very durable, I've wore them for two winters and they're holding up great. There is just a little discoloration on the toes from contact with manure.
Dislikes: One drawback is these boots are HEAVY. The soles are also very thick, so if you are going to ride in them, you might want to get a wider pair of stirrup irons for winter.
Quality: The materials and construction are very durable. I've worn mine to clean stalls, trudge through muddy fields, ride, and even hike short distances. They're holding up great, no holes or tears anywhere.
I think they are a great deal for the money, even at the regular price. (mine were on sale when I purcahsed them).
Summary: I've been very pleased with my boots and would definitely buy another pair.
