Purchase: I purchased this saddle online through Heritage Bespoke Saddlery. I had bought a dressage saddle through the same site in the past, and knew I wanted to get a jumping saddle from the same company.
I needed a new jumping saddle as I am doing higher level eventing now. Matt is amazing to deal with, always friendly and helpful, and his saddles fit my horse wonderfully. I paid $1,300.00 including shipping for the saddle because I purchased one of his demo saddles.
Likes: The saddle is beautiful! The leather is amazing, stitching is nice, tight, and even, and it is amazingly comfortable and well balanced. My mare is a high withered, NM to M fit, and Matt is able to make the saddle fit my mare easily. The panels are wool flocked, which I prefer and are very comfortable for my horse. The gullet is nice and wide as well. I was able jump to my max height the first time in the saddle with confidence, balance, and accuracy.
Dislikes: Nothing....
Quality: Amazing. Leather is awesome. Matt can move the blocks to customize for the rider if you are purchasing new from him. The blocks are great. Not too big, and out of the way for drop jumps and big fences.
Matt really puts lots of wool flocking in the saddles, which can easily be adjusted for the perfect fit for your horse.
Summary: If you are looking for a custom saddle for any difficult fitting horse/rider, email Matt. You will not regret this decision. Amazing quality and amazing price. I will not purchase a saddle from anyone else every again. End of story.
