Purchase: Mine were a gift but they retail for 489.99 at most stores.Previous purchases for my daughter were 450.00 and 469.00 at Equine Affair.
Likes: The leather smells like HEAVEN when you open the box. They have a really slim fit and I thought, there is no way these will fit my calves- I am not young or skinny like my daughter and take a wide calf boot, and these actually come in a wide. The leather stretches just enough that even without elastic they fit like they were made for me. The styling gave me such a slim, beautiful lower leg. The leather conforms to your leg like it is painted on and is grippy. The soles are supportive without being clunky, and the full-length zipper is great. They broke in a few rides. The height was good for me, just tall enough after they broke in.
Dislikes: The aren't the most comfortable to wear all day, but I have found that to be the case with every field boot that is cut slim through the whole leg. These boots have a satin finish and don't get super shiny when polished. They come with elastic laces but it would be nice if they gave you a pair of regular laces if you don't like the elastic (which I don't.)
Quality: The leather is butter soft and gives you a great feel. A previous reviewer said the leather was thick and there was an elastic gusset to improve fit-THIS IS NOT TRUE, don't know which boots she has but they're not Supremes. This boot has a supportive sole, full length zipper and a snap tab at the top of the zipper. They come with a spare pair of elastic boot laces. They also come in a wide variety of calf widths so they would fit just about anyone.
Summary: They look and fit like customs at half the price.I would recommend these for anyone looking for a pair of show boots with 'wow' factor that won't break the bank. The leather is so soft I wouldn't recomment them for daily riding if the cost is a concern for you.
