Purchase: I bought this saddle from a saddle shop as a demo model. It was in almost perfect condition and I got it for $2400. This was about half of the retail price.
Likes: I love the way it fits my horse and also how it helps me with my position. I do not struggle with keeping my balance in it, the seat is the perfect depth and the twist is comfortable for me. The thigh blocks are supportive but not too restrictive like on some saddles with the huge exterior blocks. The most important thing about it though is that my horse moves really well in it. He likes the panel shape and softness and the gullet channel is wide across his spine so it does not restrict his movement. The leather is jet black and beautiful. I have the regular leather model and the smooth leather has stayed looking almost new on the flaps and skirts and the softer seat and thigh block leather still looks perfect. I have the regular width Cervia which runs a little wider that a M tree saddle but since it is a model made for uphill horses that are wide, this makes sense. I can also have the tree made wider if I ever need to do this if my horse changes shape.
Dislikes: I like everything about this saddle. There is nothing I would change. At first, I thought the Pinerolo leather model might be better, but this smooth leather has held up so well that it is not something that I would pay extra to get and I have heard that the Pinerolo leather is harder to maintain and keep looking new than the smooth leather.
Quality: This is an exquisite saddle made in Italy and has beautiful detailing in the workmanship. I think it will be looking lovely for years and years and the structure seems to be completely sound and of the highest quality. Once you have had an Italian made saddle, nothing else will do!
Summary: Super, super saddle. It is comfortable for me and my horse moves better in it than he has in any other saddle I have ever tried. I also like the billet configuration
