Purchase: I acquired this pad through the CSI website and paid around $300 including shipping. It was a lightly used pad that had been returned, so had $50 off original price.
Likes: The customer service and customer satisfaction policy at this company is excellent. Although the pad did not end up working out for me, they were understanding and pleasant, and made it very easy to return and promptly refunded money.
Dislikes: The pad did not work out for me. I really wanted it to as it is a great pad and well made. You have the choice between a 1/2 inch insert or 3/4 inch insert. But, with the top layer and added flex plates, it is a lot thicker. If you have a saddle that already fits well, it could through off the fit, which is what happened with me. I had the 1/2 inch thickness and it was still too thick, making my saddle rock.
Quality: Excellent quality and construction. I chose the show cut, which i absolutely loved! It was the perfect size for my horse and saddle.
Summary: Although I had to return the pad, I still believe they are of excellent quality and would work well for others. The customer service is the main reason I am rating it a 5. This company takes care of their customers and do what they can to make you happy, whether that means losing the sale or not. I think that says something about the integrity of this company and their product.
