Purchase: I bought this pair of breeches at Mary's Tack Store in Rancho Santa Fe. I have always ridden in Tailored Sportsman dreeches, but they were out of my size so I decided to give the new Ariats a try. They cost $219.00. I ride and show on a very small budget. I can tell you that $219.00 is a fortune for me. The good new is that these breeches are worth it. They are very comfortable and durable.I am often asked to catch ride ponies. At Indio this past year I rode in 50 classes a week for the entire circuit. Many of these were warmup classes where there is no limit to the number of ponies you can ride. This kind of riding is very tough on my show clothes. The Ariat Pro Circuit breeches held up beautifully. The other good thing is that they can go in the washing machine. It saves my Mom so much money not to have to take them to the dry cleaners.

Likes: I am very happy with the variety of colors that these breeches come in. I happen to buy the more traditional khaki, but if I had a specific color of hunt coat, I would buy the fawn or beige. I won the Ronnie Mutch Working Student Scholarship and got to travel to Wellington, Florida to work with Missy Clark , a top Equitation trainer. Many of her students wear different color breeches to school their horse before the show starts. I would love to have more of the Ariat Pro Circuit breeches in the other colors so that I could wear them in lessons. I also noticed that they come in white. I have just started to do the jumpers this year and a pair of white ones would be great for the jumpers. I took the khaki ones with me this summer when I went to Bogota, Colombia to compete in the Children's International Jumping Competition.I won the Style Award, so maybe they brought me good luck. They are so super comfortable. One clever design detail is that they are made with no velcro at the ankle. This prevents bunching and chafing and make the tall boot to slide on smoothly over the leg area. .Several years ago at the Menlo Park Charity Show, I was asked to be a fitting model for a line of Ariat Children's Show Clothes. There was a huge problem with the ankles on the breeches. They had made them way too small. They would not fit over my big toe. Clearly they went back to the drawing board and have come back with a good product.

Dislikes: The only thing that I don't like about the Ariat Pro Circuit breeches is the price. They are still too expensive for someone like me. I wish they could somehow bring the price down. Well maybe if I do well enough, someday, they might sponsor me. It doesn't hurt to dream big dreams.

Quality: These breeches are very sturdy. The sizing is accurate and the fabric is very resilient. It has a thickness to it that allows for an attractive fit. It smoothes out the lumps and bumps of even the most super sized competitors. The seams are double stitched and the zipper is good quality. The belt loops and pockets have nice detailing. The ankle opening is cleverly designed. This is an excellent and well made product. It is worth the money.

Summary: I highly recommend the Ariat Pro Circuit breeches. Because I do not have much money to spend on show clothes, I insist that they be of the highest quality and that they be durable. Also, because I do a lot of catch riding , I must look neat and tidy when I come to the show ring. These breeches do their job just like I do.
