Purchase: I bought this saddle used via a seller advertising on the Internet. I paid $450.
Likes: This was my first Stubben - so I was impressed by the quality leather, tight stitching and craftsmanship. I found it very comfortable -- and could really feel my horses striding out when using it. This saddle also looks good on all my horses who range in size from a 15.3 hand, 1300-pound quarter horse to a petite 14 hand mare. Being that I also like to hack on the trails and am working a young horse, I like that this saddle allows me to get out the seat and post.
Dislikes: The saddle's seat has faded to a greenish-gray -- something I've seen in others like it.
Quality: The quality is outstanding. This saddle may be older -- but it will last for years and years!
Summary: A great saddle. When I was trying on saddles for my new horse, I found that the higher quality saddles like the Stubben tended to fit better. It convinced me to buy a quality used saddle rather than a less expensive new one!
Usefulness Rating: 3 out of 5.
