Purchase: Purchased at Greenhawk for $1400.00 in spring of 2008.

Likes: I love the calfskin seat and knee rolls. This gives an extra bit of grip. I like the narrow twist, the wide channel and the durable thick leather used on the flaps.

Dislikes: I do not like how the flap length runs on the small side. I am 5'6 and I barely fit in the 17.5". It is hard to find replacement screws for the gullet bar. I had issues with the gullet screw threading right from the get go, the screws were constantly loose and not even nail polish held them in. I eventually reaped the screws and they stayed put for a year. Now I have lost the one screw and its near impossible to get a replacement!!! I am not too fond of the foam panels. Makes it difficult to have the saddle custom fitted.

Quality: I have had the saddle for almost 8 years as my every day riding saddle. It has held up great. stitching has held firm, leather hasn't worn out (yes wear marks but nothing giving way).

Summary: Bottom line is that aside from minor issues the saddle has held up great and served its purpose well. I do plan on having the foam taken out and flocked with wool so as I can have it properly fitted.
