Purchase: Bought this saddle used, after looking for years for a saddle for my paso fino horses not made in Colombia, that was more like American made saddles, but made for narrow, high headed horses. I paid $750 for used saddle 2 years old.
Likes: Traditional Colombian saddles tend to be hard, small and too narrow for many North American paso fino horses. I love the way this saddle sits on the horses backs. The back end doesn't move around, and the front end frees up the horses shoulders for moving. The saddle puts the rider in the correct position for riding and really helps my back.
Dislikes: Its a heavy saddle and the endurance stirrups get in the way when tightening the girth. They don't stay flipped over the saddle seat. Its a minor inconvenience.
Quality: Great quality and finishing. Leather is thick and even the rough out side is smooth.
Summary: Best saddle I've ever ridden for a gaited horse. Horses seem to like it too, as have smoother transitions.
