Purchase: I own A LOT of Mary's Tack. A Show Saddle, purchased directly from her for just under 3,000 - GORGEOUS. Numerous Show Halters priced anywhere from $3-$500. Reins, Romals, Show Headstall, Working Tack - priced from $60 on up! All purchased directly from Mary who I originally met on e-bay and now have struck a lifetime friendship with.
Likes: Mary took the time to educate me on goes into making good tack; the quality of leather, silver, & workmanship is unbeatable! I can honestly say there's not a thing I don't like about ANY of it other than my budget limiting what all I need to buy. Honestly, if everyone out there took the time to understand WHY Mary's tack is better than the MAJORITY of competitors, she'd be a very busy woman!
Dislikes: There is simply NOTHING I don't like about any of my tack.
Quality: Hermann Oak Leather is used almost exclusively - it's the best there is. Master toolers & silversmiths are involved. Top of line the saddle trees, REAL sheepskin - they really are HANDMADE, not Handmade by 15 employees but by 3 of them that work together - it's their Art. Silver Overlay or high quality Silver Plate - no gimmicks, no false advertising Sterling Silver PLATE - you know exactly what you are getting.
Summary: If more people took the time to truly educate themselves on what goes into making high quality tack, Mary's Custom Saddles would be a household name. Step aside Chavez, Kathy's, Champion - Mary's is by far a cut above in quality, price & workmanship.
