Purchase: I bought this bridle in 2006 from CM Tack in Shawnee, KS. I was looking for an inexpensive bridle for my pony.
Likes: I'm pretty impressed with this bridle for something that is supposed to be low end! It isn't top of the line by any means, but it isn't one of those cheapie bridles that's so stiff it's hard to adjust anything or use, and it held up very well over the 10 years I used it until the pony it was for passed away. It's a good, safe, decent, inexpensive starter bridle, much better than a lot of the other cheap brands! I still have it, and it still looks great! The leather isn't butter soft, but it is reasonably pliable and easy to adjust and take apart, and was comfortable for my pony, who had a sensitive and itchy head. For the price, it is an excellent starter or schooling bridle, and even looks nice enough for local shows!
Dislikes: I have been very pleased with it, but if you're very picky about tack, this bridle may not be for you.
Quality: It's a nice, safe bridle, and good quality for the price. The stitching is even and intact, the leather is decently pliable without that really dry feeling that a lot of Indian leather gets, and it holds up well to regular use. It's a pretty attractive bridle as well. For the price, you can't beat it!
Summary: I would recommend this bridle to anyone who wants an inexpensive starter or schooling bridle that is safe and won't break on the first ride, will be and pliable and easy to use and handle, and will hold up for a long time!
