Likes: These magnetic bands from an English company Streamz introduce a new approach to magnetic therapy which claims to produce no heat. My sports horse mare is currently in recovery from a ddft injury so whilst looking for a product to help her recovery it was also important that whatever i used did not increase heat to her legs. EQU Streamz bands are lightweight and only 2" wide so they were easy to wrap around her legs. We placed them above the joints on her hind legs and left them on for 6hrs before checking whether we could feel an increase in heat. We were pleased to find that not only were her legs cool but that the slight swelling along the back of her tendons had disappeared! We left them on that night and the next morning checked again. She remained cool to touch and has now had them on for around two weeks. She had been softly placing her injured leg and was clearly showing discomfort from her injury, but that next day she seemed less uncomfortable. Two weeks into wearing the bands and you would not know she had suffered such a trauma a few weeks beforehand. She remains on rest for a few more weeks but is now out of her stall and grazing through the day. The bands look as good as new and have not created any marks or abrasions on her legs and she seems like she has a skip in her step again. I am convinced they are helping her!

Dislikes: Only available in the color black. When will they be in USA?

Quality: They are high quality with the Streamz technology running all the way through the bands (something i never seen before which looks similar to a flat elastic band which is magnetized!) They have neoprene webbing with nice looking badges. My mare has worn them for over two weeks and although a bit muddy they have stayed exactly where i put them and have held up extremely well for such a small product. I wash them every couple of days with cold water and put them back on her straight away and the stitching and velcro is as good as day one.

Summary: If your horse has had an injury or is showing signs of arthritis and you are looking to aid their recovery these are highly recommended. I made the decision after being pretty sceptical about magnetic therapy but reading such good reviews from their customers in England. I bought them direct from the company (www.streamz-global.com) and they sent them from the UK via Fedex which then arrived 3 days later. I love that the EQU Streamz bands are so small and that their new way of creating a magnetic field (?!) creates no heat. I cannot really tell you how, but i can tell you the claims are true. They have created wonderful results on my mare and we have since put another pair on our elderly 32 year old pony who was showing signs of arthritis - he's now bucking around the field. So glad i was one of the first to get these in USA and image they'll take the US equine market by storm! Thank you from Me and Trudy!
