Purchase: I bought this saddle online from Horse Saddle Shop.
Likes: I like that it's light weight and the skirt is short.
Dislikes: I bought this saddle brand new, but when it arrived I was dissatisfied with the quality of the leather and the craftsmanship. The cut edges of the leather are sloppy and uneven. There is glue residue all around where the fleece meets the leather. I wasn't going to write a negative review, until I found a very sharp screw coming through the fleece on the underside of the saddle. I've never even ridden in this saddle, and I'm currently having trouble getting a hold of Fabtron to take it back.
Quality: Poorly made. Nothing like the older saddles from before Fabtron bought out Crates. The saddle looks cheap like a 3rd grader glued it together. The leather isn't soft and supple. The seems of the leather weren't cut smoothly and the don't match together nicely.
Summary: Be very careful buying a newer Crates made by Fabtron. I have a saddle with a screw sticking out in the gullet, and so far I haven't been able to return it. This brand new saddle isn't rideable, and could have caused a dangerous reaction had I put it on my horse.
