Purchase: I discovered this company when I was searching for a particular browband to match a new bridle, black with white crystals and white stitching. This was the only company that carried anything with white stitching. Despite knowing that Indian leather companies have a reputation for poor quality items I decided to give it a try (white stitching). I was amazed at the lovely browband I received and soon ordered more items. Everything I had ordered was of exceptional quality until I purchased this full sized bridle.
Likes: Leather quality and stitching. It is comparable to the $400+ brands.
Dislikes: The design/construction. It doesn’t matter how lovely the bridle is if it won’t fit anything it is worthless. We have tried this bridle on 11 horses and it was either too long on the sides and you can’t adjust the bit or itks too small around the nose and rubs the facial nerves instead of protecting them (which is kind of the purpose of this bridle). I’ve spent an additional $80 to purchase a cob sized nose and cheek set. The cob noseband was too small and rubbed the facial nerves. The cheek pieces were the exact same size as the horse sized bridle and suddenly of a lesser quality.
Quality: The leather is beautiful. The design/construction is a dumpster fire.
Summary: I’ve purchased several items from this company and they have been extraordinary but this bridle is the exception. It is horribly designed. I originally purchased a full sized bridle and it was too long in the straps for my horse (who takes full sized everything). My students have tried it on every horse in the barn (11 in all) and the side straps are either too long for standard full-sized heads or the noseband is too short around the nose for the larger heads and rubs the facial nerve areas instead of clearing them (which is kind of the point of this bridle). I spent an additional $80.00 USD and ordered a cob nose and cheek piece set to try and fit the bridle appropriately. The cob noseband was too short around the nose (rubbing the facial nerves instead of clearing them) and the cheek pieces were the same size as the original full sized bridle (not cob as I had ordered) and were of a lesser quality leather. I contacted the company but was told that’s how it comes.
