Purchase: I purchased my saddle at a small tack shop in South Carolina. It looked like a really nice saddle and it felt like a pillow when I sat in it. The saddle retails for over $1,000 but I got it for $400. It was used but still looked brand new, so it was a pretty good deal.
Likes: The Thornhill Pro Trainer Event is a super comfterble saddle. It compared to my mother's Stubben Seingfield feels like heaven. The leather is really soft on the seat and knee pads. The padding under the saddle is really comfterble. My pony works really well in it and she is really hard to fit, but the saddle fits her perfectly.
Dislikes: One of the things I don't like about the saddle is that it creaks. The leather on the outer flap is soft, but the leather on the under flap is stiff and hard. I also don't like the size of the knee pads on the saddle. I've always liked big knee and thigh blocks, and these blocks are tiny. The leather on the seat also tears easily.
Quality: The quality of the saddle is very good. It is a very comfterble saddle and its overall construction is excellent. It only has a 5 year warranty on the tree, but I think it will last much longer than that.
Summary: Overall I'd say the Thornhill Pro Trainer Event saddle is a great saddle. I would recommend it to anyone, anyday.
