Purchase: Ordered the saddle from the crestridge website for $950. We just purchased a new horse with a very wide back and mutton withers and other saddles were very tippy and uncomfortable
Likes: I like the deep seat and I had the choice of either a rim seat or a cheyenne roll. It took a couple of rides to figure the right placing on her back and to get used to the seat but now I feel very secure. It does not even roll when I mount from the ground. The customer service is excellent and we love having a risk free trial period.
Dislikes: When we first got the saddle we almost sent it back as we figured it did not fit. It seemed like it was perched on her back and would topple any moment. She has such a wide back and no withers. We sent in wither tracings and the saddlery told us to order a different size of tree than we thought we needed due to her no withers. After numerous pads and pictures emailed we finally got it right, and now the saddle is a perfect fit. I ordered a padded seat but next time I think I would either order the suede or the supracore seat.
Quality: The quality is well made especially when you consider the price.
Summary: Overall this saddle is great. The saddlery really know what they are talking about. They have just come out with a new cinch to help mutton withered horses that we are going to try. We have already bought two of their saddles and are looking at a third. Everyone who sees us riding comment on the beauty of the saddles. Would strongly recommend to anyone.
