Purchase: I have an Arabian show horse so I bought this tail bag to help grow and maintain his long tail. I purcahsed it from the local tack store (Lammle's Western Wear). I paid $10 for this piece of equipment.
Likes: I liked the fact that this tail bag was made out of good quality material. It was on my horse in the pasture for several months and the material withstood all of the elements. I liked the shape of the tail bag. I am not a fan of the ones that braid in with the horse's tail, but prefer the ones that simply slip over top as a cover.
Dislikes: I would not purchase this product again as the dye in the fabric came off onto my horse's tail. I have a grey horse, and when I took his tail out of the bag to wash and re-braid it, the dark green color of the fabric had dyed my horse's tail green. It took several washes with baking soda and Sunlight dish soap (suggested by my hair dresser the strip the dye) to return his tail to it's normal color.
Quality: The construction of the bag was good, although they obviously used the wrong material.
Summary: I would strongly advise others not to purchase this product if you have a horse with a light colored tail.
