Purchase: I purchased these boots from Dover for $94.70 after an extensive search for the right boot for my horse. These were particularly attractive because of the suspensory strap.
Likes: The boots were easy to put on and fit very well. I rode both indoors and out in them and never had problems with dirt or other materials sifting up inside. They also gave great suspensory support; noticably changing my horse's gate for the better.
Dislikes: They did not hold up well to wear. On average, I ride three times a week and by the time six months had passed, the velcro straps were already coming loose from the boots themselves. By eight months, the suspensory strap was attached only by a few stitches.
Quality: The neoprene held up well to abrasions and cleaning, but the straps were connected very poorly.
Summary: While the boots did give good protection and support, I was extremly disappointed in the quailty. Given the price and the amount of use, I would have expected them to last much longer than 8 months. I returned them to Dover for a refund.
