Purchase: I purchased these breeches at my local tack shop. Regular price they were $104.95 plus 15% tax, but they were reduced by 20%. I was interested in trying, for the first time, a full-seat breeches as I had heard so many differing opinions on them.

Likes: I have a very long leg, and often breeches labeled "Long" do not fit the bill. These ones are quite acceptable in length, with the added virtue of the velcro around the bottom for ease of putting them on. I also liked the feel of how they fit around the waist - I didn't feel as if they were pulling DOWN on me. I don't have really prominent hips, and always need a belt with breeches anyway. These fit high enough so that my belt doesn't sit higher than the waist of the breeches. After sitting in them, I don't have to yank them up or readjust them. Very comfortable to ride in - I like the full seat feature and the feeling it gives against the saddle. I did not feel squeezed or constricted in them in any way. They definitely moved with me, on and off the horse.

Dislikes: Not so much a dislike, but I did have to become accustomed to the "feeling" of the full seat - it does feel like a bit of extra padding back there when I walk.

Quality: The stitching appears to be good quality. I like the attention to detailing around the ankle cuffs. The manufacturer didn't just leave it looking unfinished because it will be hidden by boots or half chaps. The waist band is lined with a medium weight wide elastic band, even thought they do up with a zipper with a clasp. This gives the waistband more substance and adds to the good fit. I like the number of belt loops which help keep the belt buckle from slipping up over the front of the waistband. There is a well-made, and non-bunching zippered pocket in the front.

Summary: I will watch for another pair of these in a different colour. I purchased sage, which is quite nice - but that was the only colour the shop had. I'd love a pair in navy. They are a nice lightweight, 3-season pair of breeches. They are definitely the most comfortable breeches I have tried to date.
