Purchase: I needed new leathers because the stitching on my old ones were starting to come loose at the buckle (which I noticed while cleaning, thankfully!) I wanted a cheaper pair because I am in the market for a new saddle and don't want to feel like I have to "match a saddle to my $100 leathers" So I purchased these at State Line Tack and they were only 34.99.
Likes: I like the color of them, and the woman at the store told me they were made with nylon and double stitched so they wouldn't stretch. The leather is soft enough that I can adjust the stirrups while I'm mounted, too, which is a plus because I've had a hard time before with new leathers.
Dislikes: The only thing I didn't like was the holes weren't punched evenly, but then I don't think I've met a pair of leathers that were punched perfectly.
Quality: The leathers are nicely constructed and don't look really cheap. The stitching is an added feature to help the look, and they haven't really worn a whole lot. The buckes haven't rusted and no stitching has come loose. So far, so good.
Summary: For something to just get by with, and for what I paid, I'm happy with these leathers. I don't think I'd use them to show in, I'd like something with 1/2 holes so I had more room to adjust (I hate punching my own holes!) But they work for schooling at home and probably would for show too if I didn't prefer more options, but they dont match my saddle anyway!!
