Likes: It keeps flies off of the horses eyes and ears. I bought this one to try the ear covers.
Dislikes: This is partially my fault, but when I put this mask on my horse I didn't take off her halter. She has a tendency to rub her head on the fences. Well, I put her out one morning with her halter and new mask on and off to work I went. When I returned home that evening, she was out in the field grazing and I couldn't tell anything was wrong. When I went down to feed a bit later I saw what I thought was mud caked all over her mask but on the inside. I took the mask off and she was covered in dried blood. She must have been rubbing her head all day and literally rubbed in some areas down to flesh.
Quality: It's that heavy nylon mesh material. It's made well I guess because though she rubbed her head raw, the mask didn't rip or tear.
Summary: I'm giving this mask a 3 rating because of what happened. It may have been from the halter rubbing under the mask, but even without the halter, she likely would have rubbed her fur off anyway. After that happened last year, I think this year I'm going to try the cotton crocheted ones.
