Purchase: I purchased the helmet four years ago in Wisconsin from a local tack store for approximately $70.
Likes: I like the fact the helmet has been durable and is very comfortable. I teach kids and am often in the saddle for about 8 hours a day, besides riding my own horse and my comfort is extremely important.
The helmet is a little scuffed up from branches and trees, but still intact and holding up well. It's worth it.
Dislikes: The black coloration can become extremely warm on hot days. If you touch the outside of the helmet itself, it can leave a serious burn.
Quality: I like the quality and construction of the helmet. I have not yet had a serious fall, so I cannot say how the helmet has lived up to its claims.
Summary: It is a very nice helmet and well worth the money for those who don't show competitvely. There are also helmet covers that are sold separately if you would like to "jazz" up your helmet as well.
