Purchase: I bought this saddle at Brubrachers Harness in Ontario, Canada. Needless to say, it's back there now, unsold on consignment. It was cheap, thank god, at only $174.95 without fittings.
Likes: The price. It was cheap, and so it was affordable for someone like me, a teenager on a budget. The knee rolls were thick and well padded, so if the saddle had actually fitted me, these would have been great.
Dislikes: The way it changed my equitation. At first I thought that I needed to break the saddle in. Then I realized it just didn't fit me. The flap was made for someone with a long leg. I, having a short leg, horribly clashed with this. My leg slid almost all the way off the back of the flap, and everytime I posted, I'd get thrown more backwards into the very deep seat until I was barely on the saddle at all. It was nearly impossible to have my leg ANYWHERE near the knee roll, let alone ON it.
Quality: The saddle is made from buffalo leather. It's grainy, other than the seat, which made it really ugly. Being indian made, this is poor quality. The leather faded quickly, and the stitching came loose on the cantle.
Summary: I would not buy this saddle again, nor reccomend it. This is why it is now back up for sale on consignment.
