Purchase: Bought it on Ebay for $750. Have owned Crates before and loved the way they fit me.We have started roping and I needed a saddle that could take a jerk. :)
Likes: Its a great saddle with high quality leather and fits me well. So many saddles, especially ropers are too wide for me.
Dislikes: Guess I didnt do my homework because even though it says roper its not rigged for any roping other than breakaway. Kept the saddle for my daughter but had to go shopping again for a saddle to fit my current needs.
Quality: Like I said earlier have had Crates saddles before and they have been well made and the leather formed to fit me well. My Crates reiner is still going strong and looking sharp.
Summary: I would continue to buy Crates saddles (as long as they don't change now that Reinsman owns them), but would not look for a combo unit to fill my current needs. This is a nice saddle, just not for serious roping needs. Good luck!
