Purchase: A long time ago, 10 years to be exact, I was at The Hamptons Classic wandering around the vendor tents. I couldn't resist buying this adorable Hamilton nylon halter, that the seller had decorated with little painted on carrots and apples. I spent $25 on it(mostly because of the artistic touches).
Likes: I've always bought leather halters, because I love the look, but i definately recommend the Hamilton line. This halter doesn't owe me a dime!! Numerous times it has been wet, stepped on, salvaged from my horse's wandering mouth, and being buried under her shavings...all in all it has suffered horrible abuse....and it still keeps tickin'.....it hasnt shredded up and worn like other cheap halters...It fit my horse comfortably, and even when borrowed by my friends on their horses
Dislikes: the only thing about it is that unlike my leather halter it can absorb alot of water during bubble baths....but no complaints about the brand or model itself
Quality: nice thick, sturdy nylon construction...all the hardware is very tough...the little metal logo piece on the end of the crown piece strap, keeps it neat...not like threading a needle like the other halters after a while!
Summary: Keep the leather halter for showing off, but get a Hamilton to survive Real life!
(wow you'd think I were there spokesperson! lolol)
