Purchase: Bought it new at Tom's Western Store in Ovid Michigan in the early 90's for around $1400. Needed a well made saddle that left my legs free to move.
Likes: I love this saddle! Sharp to look at with the rawhide trim and the basketweave pattern. Even better to ride. The good quality leather formed to fit me during my first year of reining and the roughout seat helped me stick during my stops. Love the way the jockeys hang freely so I can move my legs easily to cue or tune my horse.
Also have trouble with many saddles being too wide for me. This one fit perfect.
Dislikes: Don't like hearing that Crates has sold out to Reinsman. Don't know anything about Reinsman but hope they dont change this saddle.

Quality: As I said earlier, love the quality of the leather and the way it formed to fit me. Well made and very functional. When they said it was a reiner it was because they knew what we needed in a saddle and made it that way.
